Compare the total price
Look at the final price including taxes, cleaning or resort fees, and any card or currency fees. When prices are shown in a foreign currency, use the currency converter to see the cost in your own.
Check the cancellation terms
“Non-refundable” rates are often cheaper but you lose the money if plans change. Flexible rates let you cancel up to a date — note it in your calendar.
Read recent reviews
- Look at reviews from the last few months — renovations and management change.
- Search reviews for what matters to you: noise, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, accessibility.
- Be wary of listings with very few reviews and prices far below similar places nearby.
