Present simple: positive sentences
Talk about habits, routines and facts with the present simple: I work, you live, they play.

Learn
We use the present simple for:
- habits and routines: I drink coffee every morning.
- facts and things that are always true: Water boils at 100 °C.
- permanent situations: We live in Nairobi.
With I, you, we, they the verb is the base form (the dictionary form): I work, you play, we study, they live.
With he, she, it we add -s (she works) — you will practise this in the lesson on the third-person -s.
Time words often used with the present simple: every day, every week, on Mondays, in the morning, usually, always, often, sometimes, never.
