Types of holiday: a package holiday, a city break, a road trip, backpacking, a cruise, a staycation (holiday at home), an all-inclusive resort, ecotourism.
Travel verbs: book a flight, go sightseeing, explore, get lost, catch a flight, miss a connection, go abroad, travel light, check in.
Travel vs trip vs journey: travel (general activity, uncountable noun); a trip (going somewhere and coming back); a journey (the act of travelling from A to B): The journey took six hours.
Tourism effects: boost the local economy, create jobs, overcrowding, rising prices, damage to the environment, loss of local culture.
