Welcome to Northgate Logistics — your first week
AOn your first morning, please arrive at 8.45 am and report to the main reception, not the warehouse entrance. You will be given a temporary pass, which you should wear at all times on site. Your permanent photo ID card will be ready within five working days.
BAll new staff complete a half-day health and safety course during their first week. Until you have done so, you may not operate any equipment, including forklift trucks and pallet lifters, even if you hold a licence from a previous employer.
CSalaries are paid monthly on the last working day of the month. To receive your first payment on time, you must give your bank details and tax information to the HR team by the 15th of the month. Staff who join after the 15th will receive their first salary at the end of the following month.
DHoliday requests should be made through the online staff portal at least four weeks in advance. During your probation period of three months, you may take up to five days of leave. Requests for the busy period from November to January are considered in the order they are received.
EFree parking is available for staff in Car Park B. Car Park A is reserved for visitors and delivery drivers. Staff travelling by bicycle can use the covered racks next to the canteen, and showers are available in both changing rooms.
