Navigation, viewpoints and review
Reviewing a model well means getting to the right place quickly and recording what you find. Learn navigation, viewpoints, sectioning, measuring and markup.

Navigation
Orbit, Pan and Zoom work like other 3D tools; the ViewCube and SteeringWheels help orientation. Walk with Gravity, Collision and Crouch simulates walking through a building at eye height — excellent for reviewing headroom and access.
Viewpoints
Save viewpoints (Viewpoint › Save Viewpoint) for areas you'll revisit — plant rooms, risers, ceiling voids. Viewpoints can store sectioning, hidden items and redlines. Organise them in folders by level or topic; they're how issues are communicated in meetings.
Sectioning and measuring
Enable Sectioning cuts the model with planes or a section box to look inside ceilings and shafts. Measure tools give point-to-point, perpendicular and area measurements; Shortest Distance between two selected objects is useful for clearances.
Markup and appearance
Redline tools draw and write on viewpoints; Comments attach notes to viewpoints and clash results. The Appearance Profiler colours elements by property — e.g. each services system in its own colour, or elements by status — which makes reviews far clearer.

Common mistakes
Walking passes through walls.
Turn on Collision (and Gravity for floors).
Viewpoints show hidden items differently than saved.
Save viewpoints with hide/required and override settings enabled in options.

- Walk from the entrance to a plant room with collision on.
- Save viewpoints at five key locations in folders.
- Section-box a ceiling void and measure the clear height.
- Colour services by system with the Appearance Profiler.
- Redline one issue and add a comment.
