Test day checklist

TOEFL test day checklist: ID, timing, food and sleep, calm routines and what to do between tasks.

In this lesson you will

  • Prepare everything the day before
  • Follow a calm morning routine
  • Stay focused during the test

Learn

Day before: confirm the time (and time zone for home tests), prepare your ID (the same as used for registration), check equipment or travel, and stop studying early.

Morning: normal breakfast, water, arrive or log in early. Avoid last-minute cramming — a short warm-up (reading a paragraph aloud) is enough.

During: read every instruction; don’t dwell on difficult items; use brief resets between tasks.

After: results are released later through your ETS account; send scores to your chosen institutions. Always follow the official ETS guidance for current procedures.

Examples

  • Checklist: ID ✓, confirmation ✓, time zone ✓, water ✓, early start ✓.
  • Warm-up: read a short article aloud for three minutes.
