How does the Discount Calculator work?
The sale price is the original price multiplied by (1 − discount ÷ 100). A second discount applies to the already-reduced price, so two discounts are always worth less than their sum.

sale price = price × (1 − d₁ ÷ 100) × (1 − d₂ ÷ 100)Example
$120 with 30% off = $84. An extra 10% off that = $75.60, a total saving of 37%, not 40%.
