How does the Mean, Median & Mode Calculator work?
The mean is the sum divided by the count. The median is the middle value when the data is sorted (or the average of the two middle values). The mode is the value that appears most often — there can be several, or none.
Standard deviation measures spread. Use the population figure when your data is the whole group, and the sample figure (which divides by n − 1) when it’s a sample from a larger group.
