Learn
Prices: How much is this jumper? (singular) — How much are these shoes? (plural). Answer: It’s £25. / They’re €40.
Say prices: £4.99 = four pounds ninety-nine; $12.50 = twelve dollars fifty; €1.20 = one euro twenty.
Useful phrases for customers: Can I help you? — I’m just looking, thanks. · Do you have this in a medium / in blue? · Can I try it on? · I’ll take it. · Can I pay by card?
Shop assistant phrases: What size are you? · The changing rooms are over there. · Cash or card? · Here’s your receipt.
