Student: Hi, Professor Grant. Thanks for seeing me. I’m having trouble planning next semester.
Advisor: Sure. What’s the problem?
Student: I need Organic Chemistry for my major, but it clashes with the only section of Research Methods.
Advisor: Research Methods is also offered in the summer, online. Many students take it then.
Student: Oh, I didn’t know that. But I was hoping to do an internship this summer.
Advisor: The online course is self-paced, so it’s possible to do both, though it’s demanding. Alternatively, you could take Organic Chemistry next year — but that would delay your advanced lab courses.
Student: I’d rather not delay anything. I’ll try the summer option.
Advisor: Good. Register early — the online section fills up quickly.
