Librarian: Hi, can I help you?
Student: Yes, I’m looking for an article that my professor mentioned, but the library website says we don’t have access.
Librarian: Let me check. You’re right, we don’t subscribe to that journal. But you can request it through interlibrary loan — it’s free for students.
Student: How long does that take?
Librarian: Usually two or three days for an electronic copy. You’ll get an email with a link.
Student: My paper’s due on Friday, so that should work. Do I fill out a form?
Librarian: Yes, on the website under ‘Borrow from other libraries’. You’ll need the article title and the journal name. If you have the page numbers, add those too — it speeds things up.
