Chemistry Building — Notice to all students
From Monday, 14 October, all students using Laboratories 2 and 3 must complete the new online safety quiz before their first session. The quiz takes about fifteen minutes and can be taken as many times as needed; a score of 90% is required to pass.
Students who have not passed the quiz will not be admitted to the laboratory, even if they have completed safety training in previous years. Your instructor will receive a list of students who have passed on the morning of each session.
Lab coats and safety glasses must be worn at all times. Glasses can be borrowed from the front desk, but students must bring their own lab coats. Food and drink, including water bottles, must be left in the lockers outside.
Questions about the quiz should be sent to the lab manager, not to course instructors.
