About this course
Construction documents turn a design into something that can be priced, approved and built. This free, software-neutral course teaches how professional drawing sets are organised and what each drawing must show, how details and schedules support them, how drawings and specifications work together, and how revisions and quality checks keep everyone building from the right information.
It applies whether you draw in AutoCAD, Revit or anything else, and finishes with a small but complete documentation package.

Do I need specific software for this course?
No. The principles apply to any CAD or BIM software. The AutoCAD and Revit courses teach the software side.
Does the course cover building codes?
It explains where compliance information belongs in documents, but building codes vary by country and region. Always use the codes that apply to your project.
What's the difference between drawings and specifications?
Drawings show where and how big; specifications describe quality, materials, standards and workmanship. They work together and shouldn't repeat or contradict each other.
