Receptionist: Good morning, Eastgate Sports Centre. How can I help?
Woman: Hi, I’d like to join, please. Can I do it over the phone?
Receptionist: You can start the form now, yes. What’s your name?
Woman: Amira Costello. That’s C-O-S-T-E-L-L-O.
Receptionist: Thank you. We have full membership and off-peak membership. Off-peak is cheaper but only covers weekdays before five.
Woman: I work during the day, so it has to be full membership.
Receptionist: No problem. Are you interested in any classes? We run yoga, spinning and swimming lessons for adults.
Woman: I was going to say spinning, but my knee isn’t great at the moment… I’ll put yoga.
Receptionist: Good choice. When would you like to come in for your first visit? We’ll show you round the gym.
Woman: Is the twelfth of March possible? Actually, no — I’m away that weekend. The fourteenth, please.
Receptionist: The fourteenth it is. And just for our records, how did you hear about us?
Woman: A colleague recommended you. I did see an advert in the newspaper too, but it was really my colleague.
