Welcome to the Harbour Museum. Before you set off, a few practical points.
The museum is on three floors. On the ground floor you’ll find the shop and the café, as well as our newest gallery, which tells the story of the fishing industry.
The first floor is dedicated to shipbuilding, and please note the model ship collection there is closed this week for cleaning.
The top floor has the children’s area and a viewing terrace with wonderful views of the harbour — though the terrace closes at four if it’s windy.
Bags larger than hand luggage must be left in the lockers next to the main entrance. They’re free, but you’ll need a one-pound coin, which is returned.
Guided tours leave from the information desk every hour on the hour, and last about forty minutes.
